decoration in 1977, and trained in ceramic class of the Central

Yixing Painted
Pottery Craft Factory, and has been entitled Master of Arts
&Crafts of Jiangsu Province, Senior Master of Arts &Crafts,
deputy director of Jiangsu Pottery Art Special Committee.
Over the past three decades he concentrated
his research in contemporary Yixing pottery in clay material,
glaze, and firing fields, since developed many decoration new
techniques such as color-glaze flower drawing, comprehensive
decoration of color-glaze spraying, delineating, filling, and
poking, Yuzhu glaze decoration, etc. The unique styles of flat,
pointed, and irregular shape are a creation in modern painted
pottery, a distinguished variety for Yixing pottery industry,
which gained its popularity while setting a model for pottery
design art. His artworks have received over 40 awards in the
nation, and were seen on newspapers and magazines along with
his thesis, and were kept treasure by collectors. He has been
elected academic and technology leader of Yixing city, outstanding
sci-tech worker of Wuxi city, model worker of Wuxi city, young
and middle-aged specialist with great contribution of Wuxi city,
and the National May 1st Labor Medal. |
